Long ago many believed the world was flat and square and you could fall off the edge if you travelled far enough.
Well beyond that imagined edge was one of the last lands to be settled by humans - New Zealand. And that's where Sarah Wilkins was born.
She now lives in Paris and spends her time creating illustrations with a unique combination of sharp-eyed visual wit, sophisticated colour and graceful hand-lettering.
Working mostly in acrylic paint, Sarah's whimsical and elegant style has a refreshingly painterly feel. She also uses gouache, pencil, ink, collage and computer.
Her work has been featured around the world in magazines and advertising campaigns, airports, museums, bookstores, on buses, in the metro and the sides of buildings, as well as on bags, cups, books, shirts.........the list goes on.
